KHOON HOOI
A graduate of the Malaysian Institute of Art in 1993, Khoon Hooi the designer honed his skills and was recognised with the 1997 Asian Young Designer Award in Japan and a prestigious International Recognition at Bangkok International Fashion Week, amongst many other accolades.
Gaining inspiration from his grandmother’s Peranakan heritage, Khoon Hooi lends a touch from his Fall/Winter 2016 collection to his RIMOWA edit. His trademark feathers are emblazoned across the shell of one RIMOWA case, while his second piece sees the exterior bedecked with a dapper display of hand crafted badges – an idea evolved from the once-trendy travel destination luggage stickers.
